I am an active ethics educator and consultant for health care providers throughout Maine. I serve as Clinical Ethicist to Eastern Maine Medical Center, where I am a member of the Ethics Advisory Committee and the Ethics Case Consultation Team. I also assist attorneys in identifying ethical aspects of cases in health law and medical malpractice. I am a member of the board of the Maine Bioethics Network.

The following are presentations I have prepared for diverse audiences over the past several years, including health care settings such as Eastern Maine Medical Center, Acadia Hospital, Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center, Maine Medical Center, Neurology Associates of Eastern Maine, and Brewer Neuro Rehab; UMaine departments such as the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Molecular Biology; and events, for example, the Women in the Curriculum Luncheon Series at UMaine, the annual Rural Geriatric Conference in Bar Harbor, and conferences sponsored by the Maine Center for Public Health in Portland.  Other venues include Congregation Beth El, the Phillips-Strickland House and Bangor High School.
