Originally from Rhode Island, I attended Boston College (B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy) and then the University of Connecticut (M.A. and PhD. in Philosophy). My first academic position was at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. I moved after two years to the University of Maine, where I was recently tenured and promoted to Associate Professor.
I also serve as clinical ethicist to Eastern Maine Medical Center, a 400 bed comprehensive medical center in Bangor. You can read about this work here.
I live in Bangor with my family. |
